Short Description

70 gm = INR 115

This basic rub is perfect for asparagus, corn, eggplant, green tomatoes, artichokes, squash, bok choy, beets, carrots or onions. Try it on fish too. When you are looking for something a bit different for your vegetables our Vegetable Rub is the perfect treat. This vegetable seasoning will quickly become a hit with friends and family alike as this will provide an exotic flare to corn on the cob, cauliflower, carrots, broccoli, squash and zucchini. We have also found great success when using it in baked fries in the oven. For best results lightly coat your vegetables with olive oil and then sprinkle the vegetable rub on. We like to actually wok the rub into the vegetables just like we do with our spice rubs and meat. For best results use about 1 tablespoon per pound of raw vegetables. We have also found for maximum flavor to let these sit in the refrigerator for several hours before cooking. We especially love to put these seasoned vegetables in aluminum foil, close it up and then cook them on the grill. Our Rub has the sharpness of paprika, a dash of heat from the chili powder and cayenne and then some delicate sweetness from the cinnamon, allspice and cloves.

Brand: Down to Earth

A rub is a mixture of herbs, spices, and seasonings liberally applied to coat the outside of meat, poultry, or fish. Salt is always a great starting place for a rub. It helps the rub penetrate, and it rounds out and brings together the flavors of the ingredients. Sugar is also a popular addition to rubs as it caramelizes when exposed to high heat.

Like marinades, rubs add flavor to food before cooking, however rubs provide stronger flavors than marinades, which consists of oils with an acidic liquid, such as vinegar and citrus juice.

Dry Rubs: These are mixtures containing any number of dried herbs and spices. Dry rubs adhere using the natural moisture of the meat, poultry, or fish.

Dry rubs will not burn on the grill the way marinades do, this makes a dry rub perfect for meat that require long cooking times, such as ribs or pulled pork.

When your health and the health of your family is on the line, remember: Farm2Kitchen organic offerings. It’s worth it.

Organic refers to the way agricultural products are grown and processed.  It includes a system of production, processing, distribution and sales that assures consumers that the products maintain the organic integrity that begins on the farm.

This system, which is governed by strict government standards, requires that products bearing the organic label are made without the use of toxic and persistent pesticides and synthetic nitrogen fertilizers, antibiotics, synthetic hormones, genetic engineering or other excluded practices, sewage sludge, or irradiation.

Guided by these and other standards, organic is the most heavily regulated and closely monitored production system in the U.S., enabling you to choose organic products with confidence.

Mounting evidence shows that organic foods are rich in nutrients, such as iron, magnesium, and vitamin C, which are critical to maintaining good health.
